Welsh Whisky for the Penderyn Distillery - Single Malt, Sherrywood, Rich Madeira & Peated
Welsh whisky has a long history over the years, and with the Penderyn whisky brand becoming more famous over the last decade or so with their special bottling for the Welsh rugby team winning the six nations, more people are trying their whisky.
In 1998 Welsh Whisky Company Ltd and production of the Penderyn brands began in 2000. The list of welsh whiskies below are the Penderyn brands. More information can be found on the welsh distillery page.
Tomintoul Distillery Tour
Planet Whiskies had a fantastic trip up to the Speyside Whisky region of Scotland in February 2024 to visit Angus Dundee Distillers Tomintoul Distillery within the Cairngorms National Park. Then, after the distillery tour and tasting, which was hosted by Iain Forteath, the master blender of Tomintoul, our press group travelled and stayed the night at the recently bought country home of Tomintoul House in the Aultmore Estate (previously called Aultmore House). Planet Whiskies has made the Tomintoul Distillery, Distillery of the Month for both March/April 2024.
