Planet Whiskies has created this page so users of the website can view whiskies on sale between £1,000 and £2,000 all on the same page. When you start looking at whisky at the prices below you tend to think "Is this a collectors' items or one for use at a special time?" The answer to that question is one that only you can answer.
Unopened you could find these bottles going up in value, but it all depends on how rare the whisky is, does the distillery still produce whisky and still open, but the answer to most is all about supply and demand and very hard to tell.
People do collect whisky and keep it as an investment, but also there are special occasions where you really do want to celebrate with an expensive dram.

Tomintoul Distillery Tour
Planet Whiskies had a fantastic trip up to the Speyside Whisky region of Scotland in February 2024 to visit Angus Dundee Distillers Tomintoul Distillery within the Cairngorms National Park. Then, after the distillery tour and tasting, which was hosted by Iain Forteath, the master blender of Tomintoul, our press group travelled and stayed the night at the recently bought country home of Tomintoul House in the Aultmore Estate (previously called Aultmore House). Planet Whiskies has made the Tomintoul Distillery, Distillery of the Month for both March/April 2024.
