Auchroisk Scotch Whisky Distillery

Auchroisk Scotch Whisky Distillery was built in 1974 and produces the single malt The Singleton of Auchroisk. The distillery was built to produce J & B blended whisky, but after a few years the distillery decided that the single malt whisky that they were producing was excellent and decided to bottle this also. This was seen as a real bonus as at the start all they wanted was to make high quality blended whisky.

This is how the Singleton brand name was introduced to the market place. The taste of the single malt is one of fruit, malt, smoke and herb flavours and is medium in weight.
